Patient Testimonials
I've been a patient of The Healing Tree for over a year for GLP1-based weight loss and have experienced great success because my needs and wants were listened to. I'm a 6'0 male in my late 40's, and I reached the weight of 300 lbs. For perspective, I weighed 220 lbs. when I graduated high school. I have broad shoulders and was never a small guy, but generally speaking, my weight gain was a gradual increase with age. My takeaway was, I didn't gain all of it overnight, and I want my weight loss journey to be slow, steady, and for the long haul.
The Healing Tree listened to me and my body, because sometimes they can be saying different things, and it takes someone experienced to know what was best for both. As of writing this review, I have been on the compounded [GLP-1] for 15 months and have lost 55 lbs. I was approaching the pre-diabetic zone and my HgbA1c went from 5.9 to 5.4 in that period of time.
Like most patients, I experienced side effects and some are not fun, but with guidance from The Healing Tree I was able to refine what works to relieve the symptoms for my body, because all bodies are different.
Loosing weight and improving wellness through GLP1s is a big commitment and I really appreciate having The Healing Tree as an active partner in my health journey.

I have struggled with my weight since college, and have been on an endless cycle of gain it, lose it before special events, after another pregnancy, with no end. I couldn't stick to 1100 calories/day, or I'd get pregnant again. In my mid-30's, I developed hypothyroidism at which point I really lost control and could never get back to my ideal weight. In my early 40's, I finally decided I was done and it was coming off once and for all. I lost 30# on my own again with the 1100 calorie per day plan, but eventually I put myself into starvation mode and I couldn't get anymore to come off even though I had plenty more to lose.
So I decided to try [a GLP-1]. I have lost another 40# since. It been steady, and I am within 10-15# of what I weighed when I got married. I am able to eat differently now, focusing on protein first, veggies second, carbs last. I still have a sweet every day, usually a few pieces of Dove chocolate, so it's measured, and I know what I'm getting calorie-wise, but I don't turn down a piece of pie or a brownie anymore, and I only need one small piece to satisfy myself. Amazingly enough, the weight still comes off.
I make sure to get 100g of protein everyday and the suggestions from the team at The Healing Tree for protein sources has really helped, my favorite is the protein20 water. The supplements they recommended have also meant that any side effects I have encountered have been easily managed. I could never have done this if I couldn't use the compounded version, and I particularly love that they have worked with me on raising my dose slowly. I don't have to stick with the .25, .5, .75... right now I'm at .85, which gives me the support I need with minimal side effects.I love the recipes and meal plans from That Clean Life. I hate to cook on weekdays, so I love that the recipes allow me to change serving sizes so I can have leftovers for a few days, plus they are easy, and I don't have to think about what to make every day. It's taught me about what my plate should look like once I reach my goal. I don't have to sacrifice good food; I just need to eat it in the right combinations. I never understood how important that was before, and it's something I only learned with my Healing Tree team.
